Just in case you all got sidetracked by the pulled pork butt and sliced brisket chatter…
There will be a meeting too, no… really.

Saturday, January 16th
Ringwood, NJ 1:00pm
Details/directions to follow.

Election of club officers; ideas and planning for CMCC2010 in July; club stuff; etc.

FREE food AND a FREE raffle for a 2010 Land Cruiser calendar AND a FREE raffle for a FREE admission to CMCC 2010.

There will be an early dinner served. I suggest not eating for at least 12 hours prior to the meeting.
So far the menu consists of: smoked brisket; smoked pork butt; fried chicken; Bacon Explosion; several varieties of BBQ sauce; several varieties of baked beans; slaw; cornbread; pasta salad; potato salad; tortellini salad; fresh rolls; key lime pie.

********************************
ALL ATTENDEES NEED TO BE AWARE THAT IT IS BYOB. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO DRINK, YOU BETTER BRING IT.
********************************

GCLC will pick up the costs for the food and space rental. If you laid out cash, give me a receipt, you get a check.

Other details to follow.

Failure to attend will result in a painful itchy rash and uncontrolled genital swelling.

We need a reasonably accurate headcount for the food. If you intend to make it please post up if you have not done so already on the GCLC Yahoo Mail list.

As of this update the headcount is at 36

Meeting Location

The location of the meeting will be at the following location:
Little Beach Clubhouse
Erskine Lake
Ringwood, NJ 07456

The clubhouse is at the intersection of Erskine Rd. & Lakeview Ave. in
Ringwood, NJ 07456.

The actual address is 451 Lakeview Ave. Ringwood, NJ 07456.
The GPS coordinates per Google are : 41.095846, -74.25799

The meeting is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM.
You are moe than welcome to come early, we have the clubhouse the whole
day and as long as we need it on Saturday.
Again, the lake is good a frozen, kids have been skating on it all week.
If you have skates and want to bring them please do so.
I have not been on the ice yet and with the snowfall yesterday it needs
to be cleared again.
If I get the chance this weekend I'll try and get out and clear off some
of the snow.

This is more than just a meeting, it's time to just hang out with a few
other cruiser-heads and shoot the sh*t.
We have this place all day, as long as we want it, so please plan on
hanging out.
If you want my cell number just in case please hit me off list.

OB

Overnight accomodations

Sheri and I have talked and we know that a few of you have long drives
to attend the meeting. We are opening our doors to any of you that
would like to spend the night on Saturday so you don't have to drive
home drowsey/buzzed. If in my professional opinion you are not fit to
drive you WILL stay the night.

Mike and Cindy Stevens along with their 5 pound
Rottweiller/Pitbull/Chiuaua will be coming out Friday night and staying.
They have been invited to stay Saturday night also if they want.

We have plenty of room. Essentially we have 3 extra bedrooms (one is
really an open room we call the study-no door) plus couches and air
mattresses.
So if you wouldl ike to stay Saturday night please let us know so we can
prepare.
I will prepare breakfast the next morning for anyone that stays.
OB & Sheri

As newly elected president of Gotham City Land Cruisers, I'd like to thank all members who attended our meeting yesterday and help make our club as enjoyable as it is, especially, as mentioned in another email, OB and Sheri, who coordinated the meeting and booked the clubhouse, which everyone seems to think should become our official meeting place.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Dave Crum for all the hard work that he has put in over the past 3 years. You are in the enviable position of now being officially responsible for nothing more than showing up at our events and enjoying yourself.

Thanks to Rami for stepping up as the new VP, and JP for your work with our charity work.

Also, a special thanks to all that donated raffle prizes for the meeting...

Eli Spigler for the recovery kit (Camel 4x4)
Henry Brimmer for the LC calendars
Mark for representing us in the calendars
Siri for the Land Cruiser windshield sticker
and GCLC for the CMCC 2010 certificate, grill badges and mugs

And another special thanks to Pete and the FJNE membership for their support and friendship over the years.

-Rich
