Hi all:

I know i'm new here, but i'm hoping i can contribute to the community. I recently got my LC and realize we have no steel wheel options (except 18" Tundras). I contacted US Wheels with an off the cuff inquiry recently and, to my surprise, received this as a response. I'm curious if y'all would be interested in a group buy for some steel off-road wheels and, if so, what sizes? My initial thought is 16x8 +10 offset, but i'd love to hear your thoughts and if there's any interest.

Might want to confirm can get a 110MM center bore, that seems to be the limitation for 5x150 wheels on a 100 series.

will do. thank you! i know they make wheels with that center bore i will confirm for this specific project though.

Why not zero offset?
How much a set of 4 be like?
Thanks

I said the +10 based on the Stealth Customs alloy wheels that are a really nice aftermarket set and are 16x8 +10. I'm looking for input as to the size. As for price, their wheels are pretty reasonable. a quick internet search shows about $100 a piece but i'm hoping i can get get us a better deal if i can get some interest, drummed up.

what would be your "deal or no deal" on a price for each so i can use that in my negotiations.

Well, I’m taking it to the next level with dedicated off road tires.

In the biasply and non dot tires 16” tires are scarse or very pricey. I think 17” is the ticket especially if that also fits the 200 series guys with good brake caliper clearance. I suggest you post a similar thread there also.

17” also gets you into a ton of cheap used jeep tires for the fun of trying tires. Yes, I have access to a tire machine so more is better. :)

i can't believe i didn't think of this when i literally have a set of used Rubi tires in my shed... great idea!

I think if you increase the offset to +20~+25 you’ll open up to a broader selection of tire widths that will allow fender & control arm clearance. Centerbore needs to be 110.3. Dont expect center caps to fit over the flanges as well.

As for 200’s I think they have real limited offset range with out rubbing- maybe +25 max.

I like your thinking. I’m getting more interested. 17 +25 @BigSh00ts

Ok. I’m definitely starting to see 17s being the right choice. Let me get with this guy and see if maybe there’s a way we can do them in more than one offset/size. I will ask how many commitments I need and what the pricing will look like.

Cool! Based on the steel wheels I have seen there are two parts spokes, rims and they vary the offset by where they weld them together.

I'm guessing it will take 100 units as a moq. Might ask for a price with out centercaps, that might save $15 (+/-) a wheel.

They already make the wheels so technically we can get a set right now, getting a group together would just be for a discount so I don’t think we’d need a whole 100 units.
