I have a line in my native country, Colombia, where there are tons of rare to us 80 series parts. One of them being the beloved H151F 5 speed manual transmission. I am able to source complete conversion kits for our US 80 series.

The kits would consist of the following:
  • H151F 5-speed manual transmission
  • (Optional)HF1A Part time case
  • (Optional)Locking hubs
  • 1FZ bellhousing
  • New Flywheel
  • New Clutch Disc
  • Clutch pedal
  • New Master & Slave Cylinder
  • All the necessary hardware to be a bolt-on as possible. (see below)*
So I wanted to reach out to the 80 series MUD community. Is this something you would be interested in? I will be traveling to Colombia in the next few weeks. I will be shipping a 40 series back to Miami and have space to fit I am guessing maybe 10"kits".

Price would be approx $3500 per kit with the HF1A and hubs and $3200 without plus shipping from Miami.

*So I am asking the parts GURU's here, what other parts are needed to complete the kit because the parts arent available in the US, other than the big ticket items above.

Benefits of shipping from Colombia, its only a 3 hour flight from Miami and Shipping by sea is only 7 days.

Colombia is a Toyota country.. Just see below.. Take the price and divide by 2500.

If your interested in bringing back an original 40 series, let me know, I can help!

Shameless plug over.. Back to tech.. :flipoff2:

I think that is a great setup, the price sounds very very reasonable, my only suggestion would be to drop the part time case out of the list and let people use their existing case to get the price even lower. You aren't going to be able to find a cheaper way to get a manual into an 80 than this!

It would take almost as much work to reroute all of the cables from that firewall hole than it would be to install the 5-spd :flipoff2:

Not in the market currently but definitely very cool.

Just for curiosity most likely, but what would leaving out the part time hubs and transfer case do the price?

Interested-need to figure shipping to washington state

It's actually a very good price considering a reman A343F is about $2800 from Toyota.

Few hundred more and you can have a 5 speed manual.

That said, for wheeling, nothing beats an auto box.

:)

Good luck.
Everyone always says this. I guess I'm in the minority that prefers a manual.

That pricing does inseed seem good. Any way of knowing the condition of the actual transmissions that would be coming over?

I'm also one the prefers a manual for wheeling.

Condition of the trannies will be in excellent used condition. they will be gone over completely to make sure they are working up to spec.

I would be interested in the 3fe set up.

Interested. Any idea on shipping?

Depends where in the country you are. they will be shipping from miami on a pallet. I got shipped a rear bumper from San Diego to Miami on a huge wooden box and it was around $250 bucks.
