I put a new bottom in a tank and welded it up. Chased down all the pin holes and it is sealed up nice and tight. No leaks, but haven't put it under pressure.

How many PSI should I put in it when I test it? I don't think it'll be much.

I want to put some coating on the inside and out, any recommendations? Red-kote is what my father recommended, he said its what is in my uncles 40, and its been there for a decade and a half.

Thanks!

I put a new tank in my S10 Zr2 and before installing it I coated the outside with Por15 Chassis black and then over coated the whole thing in Herculiner Bed liner. stuff has large bits of rubber suspended in it and gives a great surface protection layer from small rocks and stones.
I did the underside of new inner fender wells as well as the tank. Stuff wears like IRON.
