Does anyone know of a radiator shop in the East Valley that will actually boil a gas tank? I got a tank from Tim, and even though it is in really good shape, I can see some gunk inside of it that I want to get cleaned out before I install it.

I remember having a tough time finding a shop in Tucson that would do it for me, and would like to avoid spending a ton of time trying to find one here to do it.

boil

well, I know a shop that knows a shop... the Roberts tire at Power and the 202 (south portion of the 202), has a radiator shop that will do it. I will warn you though that everything else roberts tire has done was completely useless and I wouldnt let them do so much as air up my tires for me in the future, but their radiator shop seems to have done a nice job on my tank.

I had these guys boil mine, clean out all the rust and repair a couple of small leaks.
They did a nice job and pretty quick. Don't remember how much $$ but it wasn't too bad.

Those guys at serck are pretty cool. I had them work on a condenser once and for 50 bucks they cleaned it, patched it and painted it.

Dropped it off at Serck over lunch today. Depending on how they do, I might give them a shot at getting my aux confer tank into decent shape.

Used to be Industrial Radiator Supply here in Tucson before the Serck buy out.. They still will deliver radiators to the farm (from Mesa) cheeper than I can find locally. Good company.

wonder if any of these places could boil out and clean, repaint some jerry cans i have
