Has anyone here mounted a full size spare directly on the door with the JW Off-road mount (or something similar), while also having done the gas strut mod for the rear hatch? I know the standard one people use is a 40 lb strut. I’m wondering if this will be enough for a hatch with a 33” tire mounted on it, or I should go with more force. Don’t actually have the spare tire mount yet, but it’s coming in the near future and I just wanna make sure I get the right one strut since it’s gonna happen first. Any insight appreciated.
