Gas Pedal Play Prior To Acceleration

I just bought a 2000 4Runner and I notice that there is a little play (~1") when I press down on the accelerator before it gives gas to the motor. I've read on another forum that it could be the throttle cable that needs to be tightened. Any ideas where this cable is on a 4Runner and how it will need to be tightened?
