in small cast-iron add

can of garbanzo (cici) beans
can of sliced mushrooms
Tbl of oil
4 or 5 cloves of garlic, peeled
dash of flavor (I like chili powder, black pepper, salt)


put the cast iron pan on the heat. ignore it. if it gets too dry (not easy w/ canned beans and shrooms) then add some water or beer or wine

stir sometimes, if you remember.

This super-easy recipe tastes good and is relatively nutritious for something that you can forget about while you focus on cooking the main course (goes well with ribs)
