Gaia GPS now active in Android Auto - Sony XAV100 (1 Viewer)

Looks like the Android head units now can display Gaia GPS navigation

So now the question that begs to be asked is how long before Sony updates their head unit firmware? Looks like the last update by Sony was Nov 2020.

Anyone has any insights?

You might want to contact Sony. I do recommend not holding your breath.

I have both a Kenwood 9905s and Kenwood 907s. I pretty much am very satisfied with them. Since I also have a Samsung S10+ I can wirelessly connect to both headunits using wifi android auto without having to purchase an Android auto dongle. Which is good since I use a wireless Qi charger. Ruined multiple phones from constant plugging in the usb cable to the point the ports went bad.

I wish either Gaia got off their ass and supported APRS integration (with APRSDroid) or Back Country Navigator (which has APRSDroid integration) started working with AA.
