Golight Radioray mounted

I'm slapping a golight on top of my cruiser in front of the sun roof and I was hoping to find a 10 amp 12V power source that I can tap off of and still get power from with the keys out of the vehicle.

In addition to the dash-mounted controls it has a wireless controller and it would be nice to be able to control the beam without having to go find my keys and put them in the truck.

Any ideas?

I paid about $350 from a different reseller. Answered my own question and ended up tapping off the dome lights. For putting out a few thousand lumens it uses less power than a turn signal. My surefire light that I use at work ran $200 so for something about 10 times brighter, marine grade, and motorized, $350 didn't seem like a bad deal.

That's not a bad way to go if you don't mind the 30 minute circuit cutoff. That could save you from a dead battery.

How big of a hole did you drill in the roof?

I don't recall the exact size spade bit I used, but it was just under an inch. I would suggest anyone else doing installing one of these to the roof, throw away the s***ty sheet metal screws they provide and go buy some allen bolts with nuts as trying to tap these into the roof was a royal PITA.

Use that for night hunting? Do they have a red lens available?

This is the cheapest place I found it. I think they've got a 10 off coupon floating around somewhere.

The sun is down now and I had a chance to give it a whirl. This thing is offensively bright. I'd say the numbers on the spec sheet may even be conservative. I'm definitely going to be replacing the crappy screws I used to mount it with allen bolts and nuts within the next couple days. I just don't like the idea of screws holding it down.
