Funky Bracket ???

Hello anybody I recently purchased a 2014 Fj cruiser to add to my arsenal of vehicles included 1976 Fj40 and a 1982 cj8 Scrambler , my question is I have a bracket on the drivers side rear of my Fj cruiser and cannot figure what brand or what it is designed for ??

I wish it was that easy , pretty heavy duty bracket it’s 3/16 steel , thanks for the input .

Maybe some kind of work light? Looks like that goat's eye hole is for a wiring bracket.

Yea maybe ? I’ve been all over the interweb can’t find a hilift mount anything near this , guess I will pull it off , thought maybe Roto cans , just wish I knew dang it

Interesting design, splitting the load between that hinge and the tire carrier bracket. I would figure out a way to mount that jerrycan much lower than they did though.

Well that got me where I needed to be , it’s for a fire extinguisher or co2 tank and is missing half the parts needed and am not spending the money . I think maybe I will make it into a hilift jack mount , thank you for resolving this for me .
