My 2f will stall out ideling with the brakes on. Would a bad brake booster cause a lean idle condition? Is there a way to diagnose a faulty booster? I've removed and capped all vacuum line and it starts and runs just as well as it has since the motor was installed.

Oh, it feels like I'm not getting any assistance from the booster now. I'm thinking bad booster.

Todd!! Does this mean that you're going to start getting a bit more involved with the club? :P

Yes, a bad booster will cause a large vacuum leak. That, combined with the fact that you have no brake assist anymore, bad booster for sure.

You can verify the cause by removing the brake vacuum line off the manifold and plugging it, then seeing if it'll stall out at idle when pressing the brakes.

Thanks @GLTHFJ60 . I've removed and capped all intake vacuum lines and the 2f runs perfectly. @S4Cruiser I was looking at those this weekend. I will be placing an order with City Racer in the next couple of days.

I would like to be more involved, but with most of the events occurring a few hours from Asheville I don't really have the spare time. My goal this year would be to meet you guys for some beer drinking on the Hurricane Creek run.

Uwharrie is a bit of a hike from Asheville, can't blame you. We'd love to have you out on one of our HC runs!! Was a crazy coincidence when we drove past you and Nolan two years back in front of Max Patch.
