so i am putting in a custom made second petrol tank in my 45 troopie...very similar in design to the 'long ranger'...it has the filler tube welded to the inside of the factory tube - so if i angle the petrol nozzle i can fill either tank...i have a drain plug on the bottom in case i ever need to drain it...i have the petrol tube [1/4 inch fuel tubing] connected to the fuel line going to the mech pump on the engine with a 'T' valve and two manual valves to shut off which ever tank im not using...the last thing i need to do is to fix up the expansion tube - what i was planning on doing was to run a 1/4" tube from the 1/4" pipe i installed in the top of the tank through another 'T' valve connecting it with one of the air expansion tubes of the factory tank...thus allowing all the petrol to equalize and everything together through the factory fuel separator......
the problem is, is that there are four air lines leading out of the factory tank....im just wondering if anyone with first hand knowledge could tell me if it matters which one i use, and if so, how to identify it...your help is always appreciated
