fuel tank relacation on '72 FJ40

Has anyone out there relocated the fuel tank on an earlier model FJ40 from beneath the front passenger seat to a location outside and beneath the vehicle. If so where and how? Any chance there is a source of an aftermarket fuel tank to meet this need?
