Need a new OEM part or aftermarket replacement, shipped to Canada, for the fuel tank protector plate. Any suggestions out there? Prices seem to be all about $400+ USD or ~$600CAD Delivered.

There are no aftermarket options available last I checked. There was some European website that apparently made an aluminum version, but with shipping it would cost more than OEM and you'll be a test dummy to see if it even fits on your truck. The OEM piece is cheap and seems to rust even in some southern/humid environments where there's no salt and winter.

If you don't offroad your truck, I highly doubt that piece even does anything. My Sienna doesn't have the protector and neither do any passenger model Toyotas. Even if you do some mild offroading, the tanks on these trucks are tucked up high so it's not an item that sees much if any damage.

Yeah I guess if $500 is considered cheap I need to get an old Chevy

You could always try a '70s era GM four door hood...skin side down they make great skid plates.

We used to bolt them under our VW Beetles and off road them to death.
