So, I ran into a problem.

I have the 80 series tank mounted under the 62. I have enough hose to make from the filler to the tank. The problem is. It needs to make 2 90 degree bends. I am not sure what metal or plastic bends I could use or where I could get them...

The other option is sourcing a flexable fuel filler hose (which I would like better, because of less bends and less spots for fuel to leak from).

I have searched hot rod Mags and Summit and came up empty handed...

I know this isnt really hardcore but I thought this was more of a general forum that might have more anwsers for fabbing this up

Thanks,
-Al

Good post, I need similar stuff, so I'm interested in the answers as well.

I know from my boating days that you can buy fuel hose and put plastic elbows in it(they are rated for fuel so they don't have any chemical reactions to be concerned about).

Unfortunately I don't have a boating supply store around here up in the mountains, but I'm sure you do Al. Might check them out.

You can use exhaust tubing for the bends. You could even make the whole deal outa tube then use a couple short pieces of hose to tie the ends into place. Or head for the local pick n'pull and see what you can find under/in other cars. Some Cruisers use pipe in the cooling system. I'm sure other cars/trucks do too. You might find the bends you need there with beads already rolled into the ends.

I went to autozone and got a universal upper radiator hose. Has the coil stuff in it and bends where-ever you want it to go...

Al,
Try calling a couple fuel cell mfg's and see what they have maybe? I know you can buy SS bends and elbows from exhaust company's.

regular coolant hoses shouldn't be used for gas tanks, they break down...i'd use that in an emergency but thats about it.

Thanks guys,

I will check out the boating yards/shops and report back. I can pick some up if you guys need some, well thats if I find any. I have a tubing bender so I guess bending exhaust is always an option as well.
