I want to know how important the fuel line shield is. Was driving today, heard this "noise", pulled over and found a crusty piece hanging. I put in on a rack later today and noticed the void was a spot where a "shield" should be.
Complete with mounting spots, and in place crusty bolts. Do you think I should replace this(probably) or not? It would be the shield that is right behind the gas filler line etc.
