I was driving today and noticed my fuel gauge went to full for about 5 seconds after slowing down for a turning car in front of me. The temp gauge also began to climb to H. Then as slowly as they went up the went back to normal. Anybody have that happen or am I crazy?

Try a search here on "crazy gauges" to get the skinny on this annoyance.

There's actually a lot of info on this - use Search to dig deeper. Basically the temp and fuel gauges share a voltage regulator in the instrument cluster. You can open the cluster and dress the points or just replace the gauge (fuel if I remember correctly).

I just installed my XM brain behind the dashpocket. Could I have messed up something then. Maybe my slowing down shifted something around in the dash.?.?

I would go through first and try to plug all harnesses and connections together, start small before taking cluster apart. On my 40 i've learned that oftentimes the small things are what solves my problems

It could also be a short, be sure all wires are covered good kuck
