Short version is I don't really fit comfortably in an 80 series (i'll explain more below). After owning a couple 100s and a couple 80s on my LC Journey, I think the right cruiser for me and my needs is a 100. I'm honestly borderline reluctant, what i mean by that is though i am realistic on the value, i am not dying to make this happen, so there's really no disparity, and i will hold out for the right trade. I'm happy to talk on the phone or take specific pics if you need. Drop me a DM

What I'm looking for:
preferably a 100 series land cruiser (as opposed to LX, but will entertain an LX).
Rear locker not a huge deal, thought that would be awesome.
2002 or newer would be awesome for the car seat attachment LATCH system, but i know some 2001s had it as well. Not a deal breaker but would be cool.
Would also consider a tundra.
Would consider selling but that's really not what i'm looking for necessarily

Here's my 80, pics and specs:
1994 FZJ 80 cloth with sunroof but no roof racks
210k miles and runs like a top.
The video below is a cold start after a week of not driving it.

The Good:
Frame is perfect (it's got crusty mud on it in the pics but it's got ZERO rust)
Starts up quick and
Interior is very very good safe for a few minor blemishes and one not minor (the crack in the top of the dash)

The bad:
Obviously, it's rattle canned yellow. color under is emerald but this was done by PO
Also, it's dirty lol
AC blows room-temp and likely it'll need a compressor
Gonna need new keys made (*which i may do this week anyway) as the old ones only work on the ignition
I don't know the maintenance history of the truck, but it runs excellently, and i will confidently make it available for inspection by a mechanic or potential buyer. I work from home.

It will come with:
WellVisors (not yet installed)
Brand new lug nuts (not installed)
CDL Switch (not yet installed)
Brand new throttle cable (installed)
Back seats (in my storage unit but excellent shape)

Misc:
The PO removed the ABS fuse, i will put it back in just haven't gotten to it.
It came with a key fob for electric locks which worked for a bit. I will put a battery in it and see if it works again.

Random musings:
I owned a 100 as my first LC. Loved it but it was an LX with ACH. Wanted to do some mods but the ACH was always going to be an issue. That and i yearned for solid axles. I eventually sold it and went on to an LX450. I loved it, but did not fit (6'3, 270 lbs - yes, i know some bigger guys than me fit comfortably, i just don't). I changed out the seats for Corbeau seats at a huge cost and it didn't really help. I moved to a GX, which i loved, but after finding out we were having our second kid i came upon a deal on a 2020 Silverado 1500 i could not pass up, so i traded the GX. Well, i got the bug again, and remembering that people on here gave me advice that the cloth-seat 80 series were roomier, i tracked down this bad boy. Well, i bought it from out of state, sight unseen, and i'm very glad i did. it runs like an absolute top and i'm very happy with it mechanically, but... i still don't fit in it comfortably. I'm moving out to Utah next year with the family and the idea was an adventure vehicle for the whole family. I just don't think the 80 is going to fit us all comfortably, whereas i know a 100 would having owned one before. Hopefully, my loss is someone's gain.
