i have forsale a Wilson 5000 CB antenna. advertised as the most powerful and best CB antenna available. it was a great CB antenna but was too big for my car. i had it mounted on the trunk and it worked great, but it wouldnt tune to a low SWR because the trunk is too small of a ground plane for this antenna. when placed on my roof (my cars a coupe with a sunroof so still not a big ground plane) it tuned down below 1.5:1 for the swr, but i cant be runnning around with this thing on my roof. would be great for a truck, a wagon, or the roof of a car. this antenna worked much better despite the bad ground plane then the fiberglass wilson on my tacoma.
this is a magnetic mount, about a year old, rarely used, and it great condition. coax is in perfect condition, as are coil and magnet. mechanically its in perfect condition, cosmetically its in really good condition for something that gets mounted outside a car. paid $108 new, does NOT come with the whip. it's expensive to ship and i had to cut a decent amount off it to tune it for my small ground plane (trunk), so your better off spending $8 for a new one instead of paying an extra $10 for oversdized shipping on a whip that might or might not be too short for your application.
