We wanted something roomier and we no longer winter-camp so we bought an iKamper last year. Located in Redmond.
This is the Medium AirLand. Autohome still makes them and their US branch supplies parts/spares for them. I'm 6' and sleep comfortably without bottoming out or knocking my head in the tent, if you're > 6'2" this tent is too short for you. Although it is 83" long, the screw jacks at the head foot eat up ~7" of usable interior length. Weight is 160lbs.
We bought this used in 2008 and it had a couple repairs to the fiberglass when we got it (one in the floor and one in the lid) and it earned another from us. None are really visible/noticeable. Great thing is you can always patch small damage areas in fiberglass. We did a brush-on marine gel coat after the repair which is still in good shape. A little crazing around the corners in spots, but no leaks.
The 3.5" mattress is a 2.5" organic Talalay latex (not memory foam!) with 1" batting and a custom-quilted polyester damask cover that cost us over $500 at the Friendly Foam Shop. Cover is not removable but the mattress is full size so any cover will fit. No stains, spills, pets or smokers. I can pretty much guarantee it's the most comfortable camping mattress you'll ever sleep on.
Latches, seals & zippers all in good working order, has never mildewed and does a great job of keeping out dust. Canvas is faded but in great shape, could use a Nikwax spray probably but we've had no problems. Including riding out a howling early morning monsoon in UT and an overnight sideways rain out on the mouth of the Columbia. High wind resistance is one benefit of the scissor jack crank up design over tilt-up gas rams even if it is as aerodynamic as a loaf of bread. Warm down to 20F w/3-season bags, good cross ventilation means it's comfortable in the heat too. Ample room to store ladder, bedding, & pillows when closed.
Comes with original ladder (not the one shown), expanded-mesh floor vapor barrier, sidewall hanging shoe organizers, 12V overhead light with SAE bulkhead socket, w/pigtail in tent for addt'l 12V accessories. Recently replaced doors/screens and has later style Autohome mounts that will span wider load bars on racks like EZ-Awn, Front Runner, Dissent etc. Have a spare crank if we can find it.
