Yeah, I sent an email to the owner of that Tacoma. I haven't heard anything back though. I'd love to have that as a daily driver. We have a couple of used ones on the lot at work right now. Just got a 98-00 regular cab 4x4 TRD in the other day. I need to see what kind of money they'll want for that one. It's a stick...not sure what engine though. Most likely it's a 2.7 but those are just fine.

The 2.7 I had in my '98 Taco was a dog after I went to 31's. Did the TRD versions come with different gearing than the standard 4WD's?

Both the TRD's and the non-TRD's came with various gear ratios. It's easy to regear though which is necessary in most rigs not packing a V8. My 3.4 is a dog when I went from 31's to 33's...and added armor and such. It really needs to be regeared. However, I'm looking for something to use as a daily driver anyway so I'm not concerned with adding larger tires.

On a side note, I emailed that person AGAIN on the maroon Tacoma....still haven't heard anything back from them.
