you wouldn't still have the sportsmobile for sale? if so would you consider a trade for a 89' fj 62 with a V8 vortec smog legal to CA? let me know?

Sorry -I have to comment on the child seat sitting in a sideways mounted vehicle seat. I am a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and that's a huge no-no! Child restraints are only meant to be rear or forward facing as per the manufacturer's instructions (ie weight limits, etc...). It is never OK to place one in a jump-seat style seating location. Sorry to nag, but there is no wiggle room on this issue. If you can't install that seat in the passenger side front seat (when the passenger seat is locked in the forward facing position)- then this vehicle is incompatible with a child seat.

Otherwise, I dig that van and recall looking at one at the RV show in Pomona years ago - I recall they were well over $55K new!! I'd love to own one, but would find it hard to move down in size from a 31 foot travel trailer! (I have two kids of my own)
