1977 FJ55
I purchased the truck for the purpose of fixing it and selling it. The truck had been sitting for 4 years.
When I picked it up it would start and run if I sprayed fuel in the carb. I have taken pictures of the worst rust spots, they look to be surface i.e. they don't go all the way through. The dash is cracked. The rear power window works.
Items replaced/rebuilt to get it road worthy.
- New Radiator
-New fuel pump
-Carb rebuild kit
-New rad hoses
-New air filter
-Spark plugs
-New seal between transmission and transfer case
-Buff and wax paint. Paint is not factory, Looks to be a quick re-spray. It is not show worthy but good for a daily driver.
-fix bent grill
-I have carpet for it and will be installing it next week.
The swap was performed by Benchmark Fab & Finish in Oregon in January 1985. The FJ55 had 57,000 miles on it when the swap was completed. It now has 99249 miles on it.
All this info is from a sheet I found in the truck (From Benchmark Fab&Finish)
Engine: 1972-350 Chevy (used 46,000 miles) 4-bolt main, long waterpump, Holley 650 spread bore carb.
Transmission: Turbo 400 Chevy, rebuilt with transgo shift kit, advanced adapter transfer case Adapter.
Steering column: Tilt 1975 Mercury Cougar with column shift.
Steering Gear: Standard ratio GM passenger car power unit.
The seats are in great shape, looks like they were reupholstered not too long before it got parked.
The roof has a couple of large dents in it that seem to come and go depending on the temp outside.
I will put up more picks on ih8mud.com
I am asking $5,500.00
Please let me know if you any questions.

Thanks
