Well, it took me a while to decide on my roofrack upgrade. I finally went with the new frontrunner slimline 2 rack.

I made a call to Steve at frontrunner and he was very helpful with questions I had, etc. Frontrunner had a nice holiday sale, so I decided to splurge. A few days later some boxes showed up at my door:)

Impressions...everything was neatly and meticulously packaged. The items r not cheap and I could tell that frontrunner wants the products to show up at the door in great shape. They take pride in their product and how it is delivered to the customer.

There was a damaged corner on the table after the FedEx guy dropped it:doh: I called Steve and sent him few pictures and he immediately sent me a replacement. Now, that's customer service:grinpimp:

The rack looks to be sleek and nice...still unwrapping some things but will get some install pics shortly.

More to come but happy with it now...

I'm trying to make the same decision - I was leaning towards gobi stealth because I like how you can have the panel out over the sunroof. Did you consider that one and decide against it?

I'm still weighing the gas mileage issue - I'm getting 12mpg and all I've done so far is 285/75/16 all terrain tires.

I tried to stay away from steel, so many of the other nice racks out there just didn't work.
The new slimline u can add and remove the cross panels. Not sure how easy though...

LAbRak ftw. I just have the crossbars start behind the sunroof. The rack doesn't block the view at all. With a fairing there's no additional wind noise and I haven't noticed any mpg drop.

Also the whole thing is aluminum and the corners and mounts are stainless steel. All the hardware is stainless and/or yellow zinc coated.
