On 04 Tundra. I have 170k on my truck. Struts have 15k on them. Whenever I hit a bump, curb, etc... at low speeds it makes a knocking sound. I don't feel anything in the steering wheel. Ball joints? Any thoughts?

Stock coilovers or aftermarket? I've seen where the UCA can "slap" the coil spring. :meh:

They are aftermarket. Stock size. I have a 2.5" spacer. Everytime I back out of the driveway over the curb I hear it. I bought the truck a year and a half ago with 148k on it. I heard there was a recall on lower ball jonts on early Tundra's. Haven't looked that up yet.

Check the front sway bar links. They would make this noise and you wouldn't feel it in the steering. They are probably a bit over stressed with the lift too.

You might be right. I just checked them out. I replaced them about a year ago. I put the lift on 2 months ago. The sway bar ends where they bolt to the links are at an angle. They don't sit flat on the bushings. Is there a link kit for lifts? The bushings are mushroomed @ an angle which might be causing play.

You could always just unbolt the links, tie up the sway bar and go for a short drive. If the noise is gone you found it. I've had a few IFS trucks with 4" drop bracket style lifts. They all had brackets that spaced the sway bar down from the frame so it would stay in the right position relative to the lower control arms. Maybe you could fab something up out of some square stock for drop brackets or just find longer links from another application.
