I was wondering if anyone out there has a Front Runner Roof rack. If so how long have you had it, what do you think of it? Do you have any of the accessories that they make?

I got mine in the spring and used it all summer to haul the rooftop tent. Haven't bought any of the accessories for it yet. I like that it is aluminum and I don't have to worry about it ever rusting.

I have a slim line dou. Its been bolted on for about two years. I've used it plenty and it holds up well. The rack itself is tight, no rattles or squeaks. IMHO the fairing leaves a bit to be desired...when my sunroof is opned it sounds / feels like a wind tunnel. I'm working on a solution for that.

The slats / cross bars can be moved around to open up your sunroof if you want. Think of that before you install it. Otherwise it'll rendered the escape hatch (aka sunroof) useles.

I bought and have used the highlift mount, the dual Jerry can mount / cage, the awning mounts, the shovel mount and about 5-6 of the circle tie downs (whatever you call those). All quality parts. Much of the hardware is interchangeable, which is cool.
I like the looks of some other racks but the engineers did a good job of keeping this thing light and I like the tinker toy-esk-ness of all the accessories. It's a quality deal and bugs clean off of it easily.

Put mine on just a month ago and haven't really used it for much, but it's very nice, solid and light. I was surprised at the lack of wind noise at highway speeds. Just expected a lot more and really don't notice it at all. I'm not a big sunroof user so I installed the full set of slats and can't comment on that. I bought the rotopax mount and a bunch of the tie down rings so far... I'm sure more will come.

Very happy with it so far.

Ya the sunroof, that is one of the things I have been thinking about. I don't use mine a lot during the day, but love it open at night. Plus I chew and tend to throw my old chew out the sunroof. For some reason I can see that going bad with a rack in the mix. Once the rack is on and bolted down is it possible to move the slats around? or is that kind of a put of them where you wan them for the rest of its days.

The rack can come off and on - not a big hassle, especially if you have little hands (I do not). The slats need to be in the configuration you want prior to putting the end caps on (one for each corner of the rack - ties it all in together), then after that's decided upon you can bolt the rack to your rig.
