Looking for advice. After reading about the front passenger side ASB bracket rusting away because of the AC drip, I decided to take a look at mine. I also knew my rubber needed replaced both for the link and the bar.

I looks like my bracket is ok, albeit rusty but I think I can save it by extending the AC drip line around it. Has anyone done that?

ANYWAY, the point of my post. As I felt around the forward bolt head I noticed it didn't fair so well against the constant drip. You can see in the picture that there isn't much left of the head and it didn't seem I could get enough wrench on it to get it out.

Would is the best approach in this regard? Looking for ideas from those with more experience than myself.

Can't see the pic but on my old rusty truck I just gave up on the factory bolt after it broke off. Drilled it out and added a nut/bolt and called it good.

Mine is really rusty too. I had some scrap tubing laying around so I zip tied a piece to the little nub sticking out. Ran it out the seam of the inner fender. I had planned on it just being temporary until I could rig up something a bit prettier and stronger but it's functioned so well I had pretty much forgot about it. Been there for 8 months and maybe 8k miles.
