So my wife crashed the 99 LC. Hit from the drivers side right on the front bumper. Hit her so hard it knocked the passenger front fender off.Basically need to replace the radiator and everything in front of it. Radiator was not hit but front was pushed so far it tweeked it pretty good. Need front fenders, hood, grill, bumper, headlights. Any suggestion on a place to find a new front "clip" Only had liability insurance so trying to decide to fix or walk away. Rec a 7200 quote.
Cant seem to get pics to post

Sorry to hear your wife had an accident and you've hurt your LC. Glad your wife is ok.

If I may use this post and your unfortunate circumstances as a potential warning to other early model 100 owners. While it's feasible these days to pick up an older model 100 series for 9k-14k, buyers need to remember that it's a $60,000 vehicle. If this vehicle gets damaged, as in Tahomatom's case it's not cheap to fix.

What was your mileage and condition of the vehicle? Might not be much more to buy another one, 10k could put you into something nice.

I feel your pain. Although not as bad as your case, my wife "bumped" a parking bollard in a parking lot and crunched the driver's side fender, broke the side marker light, and deformed the plastic bumper cover. The quote I received was for $2200 which I found reasonable based on just looking up the price of the parts online. The labor to repair and replace everything and repaint was the about 1/2 the cost. I elected to not replace the front bumper cover; hopefully they can heat it and pop it back out. I dropped it off at the body shop yesterday and should have it back by Friday. They are definitely not inexpensive to repair.

I actually went out and bought another one this weekend. Wife and baby are ok, she got wacked but a car doing about 35MPH

I guess I am crazy because I ended up with the same year, a few less miles and even same color. I had spent so much time researching the first one it just easier to pull the trigger on a new car so quickly due to the expericence.

I had put in Nav, tv headrest, amp, speakers, shocks, ABS module and alot of PM on the other one so I hate to walk away from it.

Just hard to swallow the 3500 in parts quote I received and that was the lowest bid.

Someone, somewhere must have been rear ended hard enought to total their 100 I just got to find it.

Sounds like you made a good choice on getting a new one.

I have to ask, was your child rear facing or front facing in the car seat? Did your baby seem scared or just fine? Where was your car seat positioned in the 2nd row and how did it hold up? I've got 2 car seats in my truck and always worry about this stuff.

Hey, check out this guys link, his might be totaled and it just happened.

Baby (15 Months was in a rear facing child seat on passnger side. He didnt seem bothered at all. They did a 360 from the collision but he was as happy as always that night. I have both car seats by the doors since my wife thinks it is a pain to get the young one in and our from the center.

Not sure if the parts from the one above will fit the 99
