That's my breeding ground. I'm taking the trucker's route, hwy 11. Shorter distance and my last leg to Northbay.

I teach astronomy but knew nothing about the SNO's existence when I blew through Sudbury years ago.
I camped at Lake Superior Provincial Park I think.
I remember my dog fetching sticks from the lake amidst ocean sized waves.

Those lakes can be treacherous when it's windy including Lake Nipissing I Northbay. Oh yeah, I'm home.

With further inspection, the driver's side rear wheel has a little up & down play and slight groaning while wheel is spinning in air. I replaced with new axle, bearing & seal about 2-3 yrs ago with new 80-90w oil. The old axle was wearing out? I will know when I take this one out. I got a feeling it grinded down some more. What can do that is the question? Does the axle need to be temptered before usage?

This what the LH rear axle looks like; there was play on LH axle which was new, the RH axle has no play and came of a 82BJ60 when I redid them 2-3 yrs ago. Frustrating

Ordered some koyo 0727 and have to wait for them. Plug was full of fillings. I'll probably install the 82BJ60 LH axle if same dimensions.

Is there a trick to reassemble the small gears in the diff? I remember that episode when I last did them!

Thinking on these gears, it wasn't necessary to remove them. My bad, figuring the other side bearings had to be removed to allow removing the C locks doh! Live and learn :cautious:
