I noticed on my last oil change that the front axle joint cover on the left side has been slightly leaking grease. I am wanting to take the 100 on a family trip to Niagra Falls this 4th of July. Looking at around 1700 mile round trip. Do you think I'm safe to go without replacing the covers prior to the trip? Is there a way to lube them and delay until I get back?

You can get good clamps on here that will solve your problem. You can also inject some grease into the cavity if you think you lost a lot. You will probably make it to Niagara Falls and back with no problem, but why risk it? The further you go with the boot leaking, the greater the chance of having a real problem.
