NOT so easy steps..

Or those Ricky's brain works, sometimes..

So basically I come to terms with the reality I don't need the the pretty bumpers from Bern, so I decide to explore my own path and try to make a "Detachable" Swing out with the added trick of dropping the rim mount close to the floor plus a Bike rack attachment, plus a Motorcycle carrier (Not super big KTM 640

Anyway here are the first steps of the fun, Yes I know it looks like nothing, That is exactly I find it so interesting ("Deal with that you have at hand" or how I clal it "PennyTech")

First I got a cheap hand pallet loader with a leaky cylinder that I can repair with my eves close, what I can not fix is that the pallet will high center on my drive way (step into axis) plus I will need to move the 300 pound loaded pallets up a uphill in the snow, well February in SLC), I had it plan out using pullets and come alongs, even a electric winch but is just to much trouble, (I'm just going to rent a "Real one"

So I have nothing to do with the Pallet jack..

My first approach was a old Yakima Swing out for bicycles, but I will need to cut a lot of it, extend it, make gussets and even then still kind of wimpy.

I used to by really big into GS's so I have millions of parts for them..

This is a From "Telelever" front swingarm (like a forward facing A-arm) on the bike, the clearance for the tire is plenty, that is just a picture to show you what I have to work with, but it will mounts about 8 inches far forward from Polar bear plastic bumperette and about 2" higher too,

On the bottom the Yakima swing out, not bad for $30, but not strong enough for all the crap I need to pile on top.

Actually the BMW A-arm will be mount it the other way, so I can use the shock mount for the linkage arm (Bellow the top hole about 4")

Fresh meat , just Grind, Yeap is scrap metal if you don't know what you want to do with it, I do need to Gusset internally or close it "(Square" because actually the wall thickness is pretty slim and actually not that rigid..)

Can you see a "FAux" Four bar in the near future...??

Oh man this is going to be so great and stable and I don't even need to re-machine or add bores for the shaft, just need to calculate two small linage plate (massive industrial "Bicycle chain" will be such a nice touch..

I can even think I can activate the "Closure" remotely, or at least have it as a secondary back up, something I always try to build in everything I make..

I still need to "Piranha" the rest of the clunk and take the two "Rocker arms" so see if the rathios and geometry work to use it for the Tire carrier lift..

yes I know I'm always type as I'm thinking, hopefully later you get to understand what I'm taking about.

To me is all about the Memories and the History, anybody can go to a shop or burn his credid card ordering parts, I like to do my work with very little, usually just what I have a hand the day that I'm making (something is actually what I can find)

Early muck up on the truck.

They will be two layers of this C shape, the back one the one you see will be afix to that second hitch with a gusset trellis sub frame and then attach to the exact "Cage" surrounds the pipe" the second will be forward and will have the Front swingarm from a R1150R BMW motorcycle, on the very left a 2" hitch (that will move open with the floating arm, so I can carry a folding hitch bike rack..

Oh at the very top of all that it will be a 1 1/2" "platform: (maybe just a rectangle, a box with a from the front swing out to almost the door, to diminish flexion and to hold the back of the tire carrier and then on top of that I vertically (or maybe horizontal bike rack)

I know it looks complicated but is actually not that hard to build.

Even at this height the somehow normal size will fit, I just don't like the intrusion, I like to see from the back window if possible.

Just imagine the lower pivots of the swingarm, about 6" farther forward and the moto swingarm tilted forward (SO far I think I want the wheel facing backwards (the pretty side)

I just need to wait for a friend, I have all the welding equipment (But I do suck at it) but my breakers are to weak and keep pooping out..

the flat is for the lower hole where the shock is usually mount it, to hold a "Member" on compression, maybe a hidro piston, maybe as endless tread that i can activate with my power drill (To take the well off anyway or the stock wrench if i run out of baterys, aka the options are endless..
