I am looking to tow my FJ Cruiser to Canyonlands later this summer. I am hoping to find out whether there are free-wheeling hubs available for it. Also, looking to see if any of the after-market front bumpers come set up for tow bars.

I don't know of anyone making a free wheeling hub setup ( locking hubs) for the FJ or any Toyota IFS at this point. It is an interest of mine as well. Solid Axle Industries makes the Spyntec hub conversion kit for jeeps and other vehicles, perhaps with enough interest they may take a shot at the Toyota IFS front end.

I could adapt my front bumper rather easy to accept a tow bar. Check out front bumpers at Home Page

If you have an auto, your front axle will disconnect for flat towing, which would mean you need to a) put locking hubs on the rear axle, b) install a driveline disconnect, or c) pull the rear driveshaft every time you flat tow.
