free to a good home (or even a not so good home, i am not picky): F engine out of a 1972 FJ40. ran when i pulled it (about a year ago), but would not pass emissions. mechanic friend said he though it had a couple of burnt exhaust valves. anyway, i was already planning on putting in a V8, and that is what i did.

the engine is complete from the air cleaner and carb down to the oil pan. all accessories that were on it are still there (alternator, etc). it is still attached to the original 3-speed transmission. the whole works has been sitting under a tarp in my driveway for about a year, and i am preparing for a move out of state, so it is time for it to go.

i am sure i could part it out and sell the bits on ebay for a tidy profit, but quite honestly, i dont have the time nor desire. first one to show up can take the whole thing for FREE (i have an engine hoist here and can help load it up). PM me for the address if you are interested.

there is still a slim chance it will be done (well, at least drivable) before i leave. i stress the SLIM part. i am just trying to clean up some loose ends in the meantime.

definitely headed somewhere cooler, but that could be just about anywhere. i am headed to washington state (where i am originally from). 7 years in phoenix have been fun, but i miss the trees.
