Got a quote today from a restoration shop.I have an 81bj42 from nz.The qoute was for frame up paint and body.40,453.08/ 453 total hours.Anybody have any input???

That's the same price people used to pay for documented restorations 25 years ago. Looking at it that way, it's still crazy.
