I am working on a special project and would like to know two things...
1. Is the 80 series frame designed to be rigid (and is it rigid indeed?) or is it designed to flex, like most (all?) truck frames. My knowledge tells me that the closed design (not C design), the way pieces are welded together, indicate this is a frame meant to be rigid but would like to know if anyone has real-life experience of frame flexing under suspension flex and putting strain on the body mounts?
2. Does anyone have a 3D scan of the frame? I need to visualize some things for myself before I grab the sawzall and I assume someone here has access to a 3D scanner and probably already scanned it. I have a 3D scanner too but my body is on the frame and it kind of gets in the way.
Thanks
