Theres a pic of a wht 80 in death valley too.

Darin i probally wont renew. Half the stuff they show is a heep or i need to be a bazzilonare like mike to buy.

I knew I was in the right place when I realized my open disgust for Heeps is apparently a pre-requisite to be a true owner.

Our club had a nice spread in it two years back.... for that I will buy it.... there is some nice rigs in it also..... don't limit myself to just cruisers either

I got it back when I was 12

I still get both of them even though they are owned by the same company now. There tracking system and constantly sending me renewal notices when I'm paid up for 3 years pisses me off more than the pages of crap for jeeps. Or how they like to show us cool stuff they think is cool yet is just a page to advertise for companies. But for the 25 cents or so I think I pay for each issue I'll continue to get it. But it is TTC time right now and I just want to skip right thru all of those pages.

What I am starting to hate more than anything is diesel power. Nothing but trucks trucks trucks. Even have people rant all the time that they should cover the other diesel vehicles but they say that there isn't enough interest to warrant covering 1 or 2 of their pages with a good article about a VW, Mercedes, or anything else. The magazine is litterally 3 to 4 times thicker than the 4x4 magazines but 75% of it is advertising. Goes to show you diesel guys have money to blow I guess. Starting to find Diesel World a better magazine.

Mother earth news on the other hand.....expensive and only comes every 2 months but great magazine...closely followed by Toyota 4WD owners.

If you ever go to socal you can see why diesel power mostly does trucks.... every 10th vehicle is a very large jacked up diesel truck heading to the desert with a 5th wheel, toy hauler, sand rail, quads, rock buggy, mini truck, .... etc....

I would bet half their customer base is there. The do have some articles on vw dubs and mercedes as well as swaps into other 4wd's

I do think they need to start a 2nd magazine with mainly cars and light duty diesels also.

My favorite magazines that I get that have anything to do with 4x4 are Australian 4wd action (hard to find and about $10 an issue), overland journal, then toyota trails

We still get FOURWHEELER every month for Logan. We must of just done the 2 year renewal before... cause they keep a coming.

On page 50 of the latest (Oct 2012) issue is a beautiful '82 HJ47. Can't remember seeing many Toyota articles in this magazine but was an excellent write-up. Imported from Australia, righthand drive, 4.0L diesel, etc. I'll bring it to Logan's Run and if anyone wants the rest of the 4wheeler mags, let me know.

"We were exploring the high country near Silverton, Colorado, when John Floyd and his diesel-powered Toyota HJ47 appeared on the trail in front of us. We were so blinded by the 'yotas coolness we darn near drove our rig into a lodgepole pine tree."
