1972 FJ55 $900!

I spoke to the owner on the phone and I also got a quote for getting it shipped to Houston ($1300-door to door), but even with the price and after talking with him ,my wife was not interested in doing another project right now.

But if your looking for a FJ55, this might be worth looking at

Nice find!

It's not gone. I talked with him Sunday night, asked him to hold until Monday about posting on this forum, but he didn't know where to begin, so I posted it for him. From what he has said, he's had it sitting for about 6 months, got it as payment for some work he did.... give him a call, I believe his name is travis? the second number is his, the first number is his brother

Isn't it easier to ask for forgiveness than permission? Diamonds and fancy purses always cure my project allowances...lol!!!

Yeah I've used all my cards too...wasn't sure if you had another one to pull!!!

Good catch! It does say 5 speed.....someone save it, I'm buried right now

Spoke with him yesterday. Nice guy. I think the 5 speed was likely incorrect. Seems mostly original down to the F motor with the exception of wagon wheels, paint and custom rear bumper. Little costly to have it shipped to GA, so going to stick with my original plan to get a local pig that's waiting in the barn for me. This will be nice truck for someone though.

Good luck!

Who else has called.... just curious. When I told him my wife didn't want to buy an FJ that wasn't running I told him I'd post this to a forum I knew about "IH8MUD" and that he'd probably get some calls within a few hours.

I called him last night to tell him that I made the post and he said his phone was ringing off the hook, lol
He was very thankful for the help of posting even though I didn't buy the truck.

That might be a point to remember, not everyone with a toyota knows about MUD, so if you don't decide to buy something at least tell them about the site.

I would use the same guys I am using to have the FJ 55 I purchased from Vermont a couple of weeks ago here on MUD....It was actually picked up today....enclosed trailer, no extra charges for non-running, even put the engine and tranny on a pallet inside the trailer...I have used these guys a bunch over the years..( Rapture Transport Fast Door-to-Door Enclosed Carrier Car Shipping )..But I might even go get this one myself...Hope he calls back
