I had some time to kill this afternoon so I went junkyarding as much as I could get away with in flip flops.

I found a workable hard top for my 40 for $200! It has the essential curved windows intact. The left side panel is a bit tweaked, but I’m okay with metal work.

Yeah, it’s been there a while.

Good find. Those wing windows and windshield frame/glass could be gold. I also find flip flops are required exploring wear. Ed

I bought the top today and got permission to go back later to document all of the possible useable parts from all of the truck carcasses. There actually may be some decent frames since the whole stash is up on a well drained sand hill.

The truck I’m getting the top from has the whole intact drivetrain and a perfect split good with a good hood spear.

A bezel could make good wall art.

I’m not a fan of making good bezels into wall art. I’d rather see them used on trucks and have someone do cheap repros of them for wall art.

The lid is pretty weak, but eventually I’ll learn what I need to do to beef it up, patch the hole and reattach the gutter.
