I hope you can sell it in time. I will put the word out up here. My buddy has a 40 in the same shape as yours only it is completely rust-free and needs a paint job and he can't even get $4500 for it. This economy sucks and appears to be getting worse.

I hear ya, 100%. I naturally built a good amount of cushion in the Craigslist price, as I expect to get beat up on it if I am able to sell it.

Thanks for putting the word out, I appreciate that.

I already have a smallish storage unit for the motorcycle, so I figure that if I am unable to sell it (and I am not looking to dump it), then into storage it will go. I do really enjoy the vehicle, it's especially perfect for here on Folly, so I wouldn't exactly mind hanging on to it.

I just hate to see a great ride sit unused & unloved.

I've seen so many service men/woman on here over the years put there 40's in storage. I wonder just how many 40's in the US actually are in storage as we speak.:hhmm:

Need a 15" rim for a spare. Steel rim, no stock wheels. Need to be wider than 7". Wagon wheels are fine.

The City of Columbia decided that my beadlock rim sitting in the edge of my yard was trash and decided to collect it today.:mad::mad::mad:

I've got a ton of random AR15 / 1911 parts that I'm looking to get rid of; leftovers from too many builds Mostly stuff like stock handguards, stock 1911 sights, things like that. I dont want to go through and catalogue what I've got, so shoot me a message of what you want, I'll check to see if I have it.

FREE.

Just being proactive and giving me a year to weigh my options. I probably will not have the luxury of owning 2 4wd's after this year, so I will need to do something. The wife wants to go back to school, and/or she may be let go at the school district as they are saying they need to get rid of LOTS of teachers this year. They said last hired, first fired. Just trying to see what I might come across throughout the season, and enjoy driving her finally for one summer. Who knows what will happen, but I wanted to see what people were willing to do in these times. A nice 80 that could wheel hard and still drive to work would be ideal, so we'll see.

I could always sell it, and build up the Taco.:meh:

I hear ya'. THat's how I am. I am not thinking about the next 8 months but thinking about the next 5 years. People need to start thinking differently in that gas is rising and the economy is getting worse. if the SHTF then we all will need money and will want to shoot ourselves at how much $$$$ has been dumped into these vehicles and how much money we spend in gas.
Think smart people. It's just a dang SUV or toy.

Yep, that is why I have gleaned off of dumping money on it in the past 2 years. It doesn't cost me much as-is, but I could put money in the safe if I sell. Every mod or change I have made in the last 2 years to get it finished has cost me at the most $1000.

That includes new tires, bumpers, seats, seat brackets, soft top, and roll cage.

Thanks again for the carb and fuel pump. It has worked great. I did rebuild the carb just in case, but again thanks. If you need anything let me know. I owe you one.;)

Pffft. No problem. You took time to help me out too. That was good of you so lets call it even.

4runner V6 Large 4 Piston Calipers

I just scored some nice 4runner V6 calipers if anyone needs a set cheap. I couldn't pass them up since I was already wrenching on the runner at the PAP. I'll let them go for what they cost me, $30 for the pair. Came off a 1994, and looks to be pretty good mileage on a no rust vehicle. These sell for $50 ea. at the cheap parts stores with a core, and Marlin sells new ones for $120 ea. Grab some FJ60 rotors and get much better braking on that next pad change.

1994 V6 4Runner calipers

$30 pair, can ship anywhere in a flat rate box.

Thanks,
Jeremy
