A friend of mine just told me a local junkyard has a '91 FJ80. He said the interior was picked over, but body & engine seemed intact. Let me know if anyone wants me to grab anything, I'm going to try to get there after work today.

He also said there was a 22R engine from a '87 truck, what they used to put in the Hilux.

If anyone is needing some 60 series parts let me know...I have a grill, cargo panel, seat cover, 4x OEM chrome wheels, center consoles (2 FJ60) and will have my FJ62 console available when I replace with Tuffy Console. Lots of little parts as well....hub rebuild kit, tail light covers, marker light covers, etc.

Tail light and marker covers!! Toyota or aftermarket?

I think they are Toyota....they were taken off and replaced by previous owner because they looked old. I have three boxes of parts that were removed I need to go through...you are welcome to come and take a look. I have not had time to itemize everything in the boxes yet.

@GLTHFJ60 You can get a new set of OEM tail light lenses from ebay for under $40

Is it mostly 60 stuff, or is there some 62 stuff, also?
I know some are interchangeable, but not all.

What junk yard is the 91 FJ 80 located at?

it was at LKQ on Rivers Ave. not sure if it would still be there, though.

Yes, LKQ. Interior and some body have been picked over but the engine and drivetrain WERE intact. Everything was 50% off over Memorial Day, so the engine could have been pulled for $200.

Some 62 as well...as he changed console to 62...headrests in back seat are from 62....etc. He found one in junk yard and stripped all the good stuff from it and used some on the 60

Free bare front 80 axle housing , going to scrap yard if nobody needs .

Hey gang- As much as it pains me to say, I'm considering selling my 61. Since we have 6 in the family now, I think I've gotten away with not having a 3-row truck for about as long as I can! :) Although I haven't totally made my decision one way or the other yet, if anyone is aware of anyone looking for a sweet 60 series diesel and doesn't mind RHD, PM me.

***SOLD***

No!!! you can't sell your truck!!
You do know they make a 3rd row for a 60 series, right. Look into that option first.
With yours being from somewhere else, it may have the captured nuts already there.
If not, I have a Jeep seat we can bolt in back there.
Or, you can be like me and keep the 61 and buy something else for the family.

anyone got a source for some mature quail? Until I can build a johnny house will need a half dozen now and then again about once a month for Summer. I heard of guy in Jedburg but not sure if his are in flight pens or just cages...prefer them in flight pens. For exposing my puppy to some quail in my training routine until I can find some in Francis Marion that are wild. Thanks.

Now is the brood season for quail and mature ones won't be available until October. If you're talking about Mr Welch in Jedburg, he came down with dementia a couple of years ago, so I don't think he's doing it anymore. If you just need to train your dog, I would suggest pigeons. I've always trained mine and prefer pigeons, I have a 4 month old puppy now and will be getting pigeons soon. The are much more hardy than a quail and fly hard, so your puppy will never catch one. If your dog catches a quail during training, that will be a major setback. Did you go with a German Wirehair Pointer? I'm the chairman for the Lowcountry chapter of Quail Forever and also sit on the SC Bobwhite Initiative Counsel. PM me if you need more info.

yeah I have used pigeons before....just not sure how they will be about a pigeon coop in yard. LOL At least with quail I dont feel bad about them being left in field. Worked with a guy down in Varnville yesterday that has a few pigeons and rabbits and tethers them to his flushing rig so he can re-use them.

No the guy I found in Jedburg isnt same guy unless is son or someone is selling them now in Market Bulletin...he has bobwhite and also pharoh quail. Guess I need to build a johnny house and get a few to keep around and let out and let them get used to flushing and flying wild.

I got the Drahthaar I was discussing...I prefer the german bred and registered dogs for the versatility I want for small game, waterfowl, upland and blood trailing deer and hogs.

Here are a couple pics of him...

This is him watching his brother ( litter two years ago) work on steady to flush and shot.

his first time swimming and first retrieve in water done yesterday...did it three times to cool him off in this heat and to get him exposed to water over his head finally....12 weeks old. Had him run a rabbit track...pointed a pigeon in flusher....continued on getting him comfortable with shots being fired....and then the water retrieve before we went home. He is my third versatile dog over the years.

Will get with you when I get ready to put in a johnny house or two. When I replant my soybeans in food plots going to skirt the fields and open areas along roads with Whistleback seeds.
