For Sale: '88 Fj62 $ 6,900 (Photos now posted...)
Daily driver with almost 160,000 miles, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Will take $6,900.
Mechanically in great condition. Needs very minor body work and a nice paint job to become a $12k-$14k beauty. I bought it several years ago as an extra vehicle with the idea of having the minor cosmetic restoration done and keeping it. I have changed my mind and decided to keep the '96 LX450 (because it's the first year they were made).
In October '06, had the transmission (& transfer case) replaced with a used transmission purchased from cruiserparts.net, however, I also bought the one year warranty, that is transferable. I have had absolutely no problems with the replacement tranny.
Bottom line is this: my wife is nagging my ass for a new ride. If I spend another dime on this cruiser, I might as well lay my mattress in the garage, because that's where I'll be sleeping. My heart wants to keep "Buck", make him look good and admire him for years, but my head says sell him, and keep "Junior" (the '96) for the long haul.
