1971 Datsun 510 ---4 Door Body: Solid structurally, fiberglass front fenders, new windshield, decent paint Interior: Tach cd player, oil-temp-volt guages, lightweight race seats, roll bar, complete with roof liner, carpets, and inner door panels. Engine: L20B bored and stroked - completely rebuilt Feb 2005 - not even 10,000 km since. Z22 crank and pistons. New forged pistons, rings and bearings. Block and head resurfaced. Valve grind. New timing chain and gears, starter, oil pump and water pump. Weber DGV on car - passed aircare with this setup. K&N filters on all carbs. Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Battery relocated to trunk. New roadster clutch. New master and slave cylinder. Roadster 5 speed tranny - first and second syncros worn. Suspension: Specialty Engineering springs. KYB shocks and inserts new Feb 2005. Front shortened, threaded coilovers with slotted camber adjustment. Slotted rear cross member. Big front sway bar. New ball joints and tie rod ends.

you could tell by the under carriage

Sorry jklubens, I couldn\'t tell you. Sadly I can't claim to be a 510 expert, I've owned the car for less than a year and bought it when my financial situation would allow me to own two vehicles.. but sometimes things change rapidly.
That being said, it was the best summer car I could of wished for. Corners like a dream and drives like it's on rails.

That doesn't appear to be a BRE spoiler. Looks more like rubber baseboard. In any case, nice 510! These things are getting more rare everyday. I will always have at least one in my stable (I've had 6). Cheers and good luck!
