For Sale For Sale: 2006 LX 470 $25k - 87k miles - California car

I had someone in my family check this LX 470 out for me a few days ago, guy is very firm on price. Overall in good shape, one owner, claims to have all records. Sun roof does not work (said it hasn't worked since he bought it, never got it taken care of as he never used it). Some small scuffs here and there but overall clean and low miles for year. Timing belt/water pump done at 60k miles. Needs new tires.

My gut says that w/ the sun roof, needing new tires, and that it's just a few thousand miles from needing the 90k service a price between $22k and $23k would be fair, your thoughts? You just can't find these easily and this guy knows that. Heck he'll prob get $25k, just not from me.

That's why I got out of restoring old cars. Sellers seem to think theirs is worth so much more than it is. Anyway, I looked up the KBB value for this, using a Bay Area zip code. Even checking the box for "excellent condition" the Private Party value is $19,192. Considering the moon roof doesn't work, and it needs tires I think you are being more than generous offering $22-23K. you might try and show him this as well as others NADA, Edmunds, etc.

I would say based on what I sold my '07 with 92k and all documented service. He's not far off.
