Looking for a new “custodian” for the FZJ. I am shopping 100-series trucks.

1994 FZJ-80 JT3DJ81W3R0082114
202,000 miles
Asking $5,500
White / Grey interior
Bone Stock with Lockers – No lift, no over sized tires, no ARB, etc. etc.
Factory roof rack removed
Never wheeled, just around town and to the ranch for hunting
Dry country truck (CA, AZ, TX) – NO RUST

I bought it seven years ago from the second owner in AZ, and started the process of making it better and better. It runs very smoothly; better than at 110k miles. Original head gasket, which has never showed any signs of being problematic. Paint and interior are very clean; in keeping with a well cared for, 14 year old vehicle. Of course, there are a small bumps and scratches. There is a four inch dent in the right side C pillar where a box fell off a shelf in the garage and “christened” the Cruiser. Drivers seat redone in new leather 45k miles ago by a high-end upholstery shop. All other leather in good shape, no tears. Steering wheel leather in good condition. Michelin LTXs with lots of tread left, one of which is brand new three months ago.

I have over $10,000 in receipts for parts and maintenance which I will gladly forward in an Excel file. No expense spared.

The highlights for major repairs (all original Toyota parts) over the past three or so years are:

  • All new EGR system (valve, VSV, all vacuum lines, vacuum modulator) 50k miles ago.
  • Injectors ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested about 50k miles ago.
  • New power steering pump 33k miles ago
  • Front axle totally rebuilt with all seals and bearings from Cruiser Dan 25k mi. ago
  • New water pump 25k miles ago
  • New starter 20k miles ago
  • New alternator 20k miles ago
  • New motor and tranny mounts 15k miles ago
  • New radiator 7k miles ago
  • Optima Blue Top (D31M) – two years old
  • Tune up (cap and rotor, plugs, two new oxygen sensors) – 9k miles ago

There is much, much more, but these are the big items.

I will get pics and somehow get them posted.

I will personally vouch for this 80. This is one of the cleanest, best running and well cared for 80's out there. I can honestly say this truck runs better and is more reliable than any other 80 I've ever seen; including mine. This truck has been meticulously maintained and has all service records for the duration of Robert's ownership. If it wouldn't be such a pain to sell my truck I'd buy his for my own. This is a steal, even in todays market for 80 series Land Cruisers.

I have some photos if you're interested.

A buddy of mine is wanting to get himself a cruiser and is very interested. Please post some pics for us or email them to ryanlgilbert@hotmail.com
