I hate to have to do it, but I'm putting my 1990 LC up for sale. I purchased it in 2018 from Jason at CruiserYard @arcteryx and planned on keeping forever, so I made sure it was very clean. I previously has a 1966 Land Rover Series IIa that my wife and I missed, so I figured one this arrived with modern conveniences like power steering and brakes, AC and even power windows, she'd be thrilled. Not so much as she's apparently grown soft over the years :p I now have two teen drivers, one of whom is taking one of our two daily drivers to school with him, and the wife is insisting that I get something that has all the modern safety features for the other, so just can't afford to keep the LC as a nice weather extra and it's too nice to daily up here in Chicago even with the many coats of Fluid Film that it has on the underside. This will be long, but I want to be thorough...

The LC currently has a bit over 222K and mileage will slowly increase until I stop driving it for the Winter. As mentioned above, I purchased it out of TX from Jason but through some research I was able to track it back through Louisiana to a couple of stops in rural Georgia. That got me back to 1998 and was as far back as I could find. Jason did send a few pages of a CarFax when I bought it that said it was in Annapolis at about the 40K mark in 1993 and had no accidents or other drama before it came to me.

I don't want there to be any surprises, so here's what I consider current issues:

- Rear pinion seal has a drip. My mechanic told me it wasn't worth messing with and to just check fluid level at each oil change to see if it needs to be topped up.
- Oil Pressure gauge is completely dead. No reading at all and the arm sits as far down as it can hang (picture later)
- Front passenger window gets stuck about 75% of the way down when rolling down. It can be pulled by up an inch and then power up works. I think it may be hitting the speaker, but not sure. I have a new set of shallow front door speakers that will come with the truck, I just haven't had the chance to put them in as they need an adapter as the fastener patter in different that stock.
- Rear window sprayer doesn't work, but wiper does.
- The driver's rear door has several nicks/scratches. These are the result of my daughter missing the top corner of her soccer net in the yard and blasting a ball through the garage window and spraying glass against the side of the truck. I thankfully had a primer pen, touch-up paint and touch-up clear coat which was applied when I got home from work that day. While it isn't perfect, it didn't bother me much. It's been almost 4 years since it happened and nothing has bubbled or rusted, so it will likely last as long as the rest of the paint job.

Those are the "bads", so here is what I consider positives:

- Truck is very clean both top side and under. It's as close to rust-free as you will see on something that hasn't undergone a major restoration. Jason had it repainted before I purchased it and it's a good 5-10 ft paint job. It's not going to win a concourse award, but it looks really good (aside from issue with door I mentioned), shines up well after waxing and has no rust spots or bubbling anywhere.
-Starts every time, warm or cold. Even though I almost never drive it in the Winter (even with the Fluid Film treatments for protection) I start it regularly in the garage to make sure fluids are moving through the systems. I'll even take it through the alleys that don't get salted so I can engage 4WD to make sure that is staying fresh.
- All systems work, including heat and AC and it has no dash lights lit.
- Interior is an 8 of 10 in my opinion as Jason put new Cruiser Corps seat covers on and replaced some of the carpet. Stock radio was replaced with an Alpine unit that sounds good and has Bluetooth.

Here's a list of all the stuff that has been done within the last 25K Miles. I have receipts for what I did and I talked quite a bit with Jason about his work and also found the previous owner that Jason purchased from to get his list of major fixes.

Since I've had it
- Has KO2s with about 1,000 miles on them
- Battery replaced in May with an Interstate Premium level
- Replace front wiper arms and blades with City Racer 4Runner upgrade (OEM Wiper Arms Upgrade Kit for Land Cruiser FJ60 FJ62 - https://www.cityracerllc.com/products/oem-wiper-arms-upgrade-kit-for-land-cruiser-fj60-fj62)
- Replaced harmonic balancer and all seals to fix small leak and related drive belts along with lower radiator hose (219,500)
- Replaced top radiator hose and cap and window washer pump (219,000)
- Replaced oil pan (OEM) and all gaskets to fix oil leak, front brake calipers and pads and flushed brake fluid (218,700)
- Replaced rear hatch seal with one from City Racer

Jason (all done at approx. 218,700)
- replaced the output shaft seal
- replaced the rear pinion seal
- changed front and rear diff fluid
- changed tcase fluid
- new head, you can see the details of what is done here http://www.cruiseryard.com/3f-head-casting-61080-completely-rebuilt-and-ready-to-drop-in/
- new transmission bushing, this makes the shifter not loose, very common issue
- replaced master window switch, locks and windows work
- installed manual antenna, the electric ones always fail
- new dome light

PO from Louisiana
- Replaced water pump (approx. 210,000)
- Rebuilt steering box (approx. 210,000)
- Front Brake upgrade to 1995 4Runner set-up (approx. 210,000)
- Refurbished fuel injector jets (approx. 210,000)
- Replaced transmission. Replacement unit was sourced from an LC supplier on the East Coast and guaranteed to be in good working order with less than 120K miles on it (approx. 205,000)
- Valve adjustment and new distributor (appox. 198,000)
- Replaced tie rod ends and fit new OME suspension. Used HD but was a little too stiff so had a leaf or two removed from rear. Result is about a 2" lift. (approx. 195,000)

I know this has been long, but I wanted to get as much info out there as I could. I really wish I didn't have to part with the truck, but sometimes life (or wife) makes your choices for you. I understand her point of having new drivers in safer cars (going Outback as we've enjoyed the one my son is taking with him) but I'll miss my LC.

I'm going to post a bunch of pics, but I'm open to taking more if you have a specific area you want to see.

Asking $22K but open to reasonable offers knowing there are a few little things that need to be addressed.

Thanks! I looked long and hard for a clean truck when I purchased it and it's been a garage kept, Spring to Fall runaround since I've had it. :)

This is a good running truck, it was very clean and appears to still be so. GLWS!

Thanks Jason...aside from the soccer ball and garage window incident, I've kept it as clean as it was when you sent it up to me. And it's been 100% reliable.
