1979 Toyota FJ40

Price is $950 - Pretty firm, but I want this gone. Vehicle is located in Madbury, NH.

The truck was used as a plow truck for the past 5 years. It will come with a 6.5' plow in good condition that is not pictured. The body is pretty rusty and the frame is getting soft in a couple places, most noticibly behind the rear axle. The engine and driveline are in great shape and it runs great. It starts up instantly and runs very smoothly. It has 86k original miles. A brake hose burst about a year ago while plowing and it hasnt been replaced, so the brakes dont work. The e-brake still works fine though. The transfer case is stuck in 4lo. I have no idea why, but my guess would be that its just been in 4lo for the past 5 years and the linkage is rusted in place or bound up. It shifted perfectly the last time it was used in 2wd. The interior is in decent shape all around. The headliner is coming off in the rear, but a little glue should fix that. The rear body tub is pretty rusty around the rear jump seats. The doors in the rear are very rusty as well, but they all open and close fine, everything lines up body-wise. Some parts of the body tub were patched over the past couple of years; the floorboards on the drivers side and under the drivers seat mount.

Rust is the biggest issue with this landcruiser. It sits in a field all summer then gets brought out in the winter to plow. I want whoever buys this to take a look at it first and understand that this is a project and not something that you will be able to drive to your house, put $100 into and use it as a beach cruiser for the next 5 years.

This truck is literally 3 minutes from my house. Let me know if anyone wants me to look or take detailed pics and I can coordinate with the owner to take them.
