I'm sure it's been addressed before, but what is needed to reseal the headlight. Driver side is fogged and passenger side has a dried up spider in it. Want to do the bulb upgrade so figure I might as well pull the whole assembly and clean them up. Looks like the lens is clamped on just like the Volvo with a rubber o-ring.
Thanks........CRAB

Crab,

Not sure with the 100 lights, but with the 80's you'll still have to deal with the glue holding the glass(lense) and the rest of the assy.

Generally you have to heat up the oven and when it's warm (Can't remember the temp) you put your assy in for a time. Then you pull it out and voila you should be able to separate them.

After cleaning them you just reverse the whole process.

If the lense and the assy are sealed tight then maybe it's the rubber boot/gasket thingy behind the bulb that might need to be replaced or something.

If it's just the moisture you want to get rid of the assy I've heard of people using blowdrier to get rid of it.

HTH's and G'luck!

Wow Mot,
you must have been really bored to reply to my post  Thanks for the suggestions, but would like a little better first hand experiance. I was just curious if there was a vendor that supplied the rubber oring around the lens, or reseal kit of some kind. Seen a few fogged ones on this site and thought it might be a common issue?
Thanks.........CRAB

Has anyone used window glazing tape? Finally got the POS apart and the glue cleaned up. I don't think there will be enough heat to affect the tape but wanted to hear from some experience. At least it will come apart easily if it doesn't work:D
