Looking great RUSH, I'll be following the Restored Air install closely, can't wait to see what you do with cabin air vents ... This is one I've been thinking about for a while

Cheers

Thanks Steve!🍻

I haven’t yet really put much thought into the vent layout yet other than to have three round louvered vents in the upper portion of the center dash panel, which will be a fresh piece metal and not the factory piece.
@xtiaan2000 did an awesome job on his that you should check out
X actually stretched his dash face down about an inch, which is covered deeper back in the thread.
It seemed to @scrapdaddy that the rectangular vents he and @xtiaan2000 placed on each far end of their dashes still weren’t up high enough to blow on your face, so I’m not sure if I’m going to go through the trouble of installing those.

My 2 cents....With the Restomod, the fan isn't powerful enough to blow air on your face if you sit higher in the seat. My center vents are too low and I sit high, not enough air hits my face (my wife is 5 foot tall and has no problems with the vents). The side vents work good for keeping the door glass clear. J Mack has his vents set higher which work fine. The unit isn't big enough to keep the whole wagon cool, so having some cool air in your face is important. Leather seats that don't breathe is another bad choice.

I don't want to redo my dash, so thinking about a second unit behind the seats, blowing forward. Luckily we can tolerate the heat, but when it gets cold I turn into a big wussy. :)

I saw a guy incorporate the A pillar to the cold air and make some louvers for the air to fall from up top

I also think a faux dash on top of the real dash could be fabled to hold 4 vents pretty easily, like the old classic dash storage box that was available for a while

This is something I’ve been thinking about.
Lando had, and now the little dove has, a 2017 Mustang. There are some vents set higher on the dash. I think something could be made to sit on top of the dash with some similar style vents on each side (like what you’re saying), but would possibly require some holes to be cut through the top of the dash to plumb the hose/s through to.

And now I’m thinking I saw something similar but better to what we’re describing, but can’t remember what it was🤔

lol. So does my 85 4Runner.
Yeah I also loved the air vent options in the 86 Cressida, could blast hot air and flip a switch on the centre dash vent to keep fresh air on your face…and the crotch cooler. 👍🏻
