I haven’t yet really put much thought into the vent layout yet other than to have three round louvered vents in the upper portion of the center dash panel, which will be a fresh piece metal and not the factory piece.
@xtiaan2000 did an awesome job on his that you should check out
X actually stretched his dash face down about an inch, which is covered deeper back in the thread.
It seemed to @scrapdaddy that the rectangular vents he and @xtiaan2000 placed on each far end of their dashes still weren’t up high enough to blow on your face, so I’m not sure if I’m going to go through the trouble of installing those.

Thanks Rush ... did some searching and found X's dash. Doing something very similar but I'm taking it a 'little' further. Met with my paint/body guy's son last night that's in school for engineering. He's now BIG into 3D scanning and 3D printing, and then metal machining.
So ... we've scanned the dash, he's doing a CAD drawing of the entire dash with all the instruments set into it, and once we have that complete we will 3D print a mock-up. The final dash will be 5mm (1/4") thick, milled aluminum with integrated vents and some really nice design features. Will start posting this soon ...

Update post with some progress pics and a couple new obstacles.

Got the radiator hoses sorted out. Made an aluminum pipe coupled with silicone hoses for the upper. A 120° and 90° silicone hoses coupled together for the lower.

Installed the Borgeson steering shaft that’s been patiently waiting for a couple years now.

My Ol’ pal @RHINO reminded me a while back that I needed to weld in my lower shock mount bolts, which I forgot again until the shocks came in, so I made some lower mount bolts and got that taken care of, just need to touch up the paint now.

Ruff /Stuff is the best , Buy it once and be done . You guys might think about the upgrade knuckle steering arms studs ,I have seen quite a few broken studs on the trail , Big Bummer

Been lucky to have never had issues with the stock 55 and cobbled together steering linkage or steering arm studs. My ol’ pal @RHINO did have some trouble one time I recall with breaking the end off that threads into the tie rod. Luckily we were only about 45 minutes/hour from where I worked and he welded it back together with some 7018.

If I ever plan on running the Rubicon I’ll look into upgrading the studs. Maybe at least have a few extra on hand stashed away somewhere.

yeah, that was when i still had the small ends after doing power steering swap, no problems after THE BEEF!

i remember another time wrecking the steering box mounts and welding it back together on trail with batteries and jumper cables to hold 7018, or maybe 6011?
 
Hey Rush, Do you have the outer fender off right now? There are two( I think ) baffles running down the fender, sandwiched between the inner and outer fender walls. I hole sawed some air holes through them as to not block intake air. Not really sure if it helps, but fun to do.

Something accomplished today…

Picked up this plus-sized engine oil cooler from FSR (same company that built the radiator).
The challenge was where to mount this thing.
After trying all the usual areas and finding them shy on space, found an area under the radiator and fan, with some factory mounting holes, where the old front splash plate, or whatever it is, used to live long ago.
It’s not the flashiest mount, but it will do, and everything is clear and out of the way.
